The SBE 16plus V2 conductivity and temperature recorder is self-powered and self-contained, for depths up to 10,500 meters (34,400 ft). The 16plus V2 records data at programmable intervals in FLASH RAM and can be commanded to sample and output data for telemetry applications. Six differentially amplified A/D input voltage channels and one RS-232 channel for auxiliary sensors are standard. A standard RS-232 or optional RS-485 interface is used for programming, telemetry output, and data extraction.

The SBE 16plus-IM V2 conductivity and temperature recorder is self-powered and self-contained, with an integral inductive modem for communication for depths up to 7000 meters (22,900 ft). The 16plus-IM records data at programmable intervals in FLASH RAM. The inductive modem uses a mooring cable as the communication link, permitting the 16plus-IM V2 to be easily positioned at any depth without the use of cable connectors. Six differentially amplified A/D input voltage channels and one RS-232 channel for auxiliary sensors are standard.

While intended primarily for use as a profiling CTD (sampling at 4 Hz), the SBE 19plus V2 SEACAT has dual mode programmability, providing moored time series recording with most of the features of the 16plus V2 SEACAT. Switching modes just requires sending a few simple setup commands.

The SBE 37-SM is a high accuracy, conductivity and temperature recorder (pressure optional) with internal battery and memory. It is designed for moorings and other long-term fixed-site deployments at depths up to 7000 meters (23,000 ft). It includes a standard serial interface and non-volatile FLASH memory. Titanium and other non-corroding materials are used to minimize maintenance and ensure long-life.

The SBE 26plus is a wave & tide recorder which integrates water level measurements and characterizes waves with interleaved bursts of sampling at up to 4 Hz. The 26plus combines a quartz pressure sensor, accurate clock, precision thermometer, and optional conductivity sensor (SBE 4M) to provide water level, wave, temperature, and salinity data with high resolution and accuracy. Tide sampling interval and duration and wave burst-sampling rate and duration are easily programmable. Wave data analysis software is also included.

The SBE 53 BPR measures full ocean depth water level with extremely high resolution, accuracy, and stability. The 53 BPR combines a uniquely precise and stable time base with low power frequency acquisition circuitry, Paroscientific Digiquartz® pressure transducer, non-volatile 32 MB FLASH memory, and a precision thermometer to provide unprecedented bottom pressure recording capability. An optional conductivity sensor (SBE 4M) can be added to provide salinity data as well. The interval between each water level measurement and the duration of the integration period are user-programmable.

The SBE 54 continuously measures, records, and outputs pressure at user-programmable periods. Pressure resolution is better than 1 mm at full ocean depth (7000 meters), at the default sample period of 15 seconds. The SBE 54's sole purpose is to function as the heart of a deep ocean tsunami detection system. Setup and operation require no user interaction. A power supply supervisor and watchdog timer ensure automatic recovery if power or normal operation is interrupted. Low power consumption makes multi-year, battery-powered deployments practical.
