Do you have an original SBE 16 or SBE 19?
Sea-Bird produced the SBE 16 and 19 between 1987 and 2000. At the end of 2000 they were replaced by the SBE 16plus and 19plus, and later (2008) with the SBE 16plus V2 and 19plus V2. Parts for the original SBE 16 and 19 are becoming difficult to procure because of component obsolescence, and at some point in the near future we will be unable to support the SBE 16 and 19, except for routine calibration. The original SBE 16 and 19 cannot be upgraded to a 16plus V2 or 19plus V2, because of part incompatibilities. Consequently, Sea-Bird is offering a Trade-In Program to provide you with an opportunity to improve your measurement capability and accuracy:
Trade in your SBE 16 or SBE 19, and receive a $1500.00 discount on the net price of a new SBE 16plus V2 or SBE 19plus V2 (only one $1500.00 discount can be used per purchased instrument). This offer is valid for orders placed by March 31, 2012.
