Electronics/Release Assembly
Aluminum Housings (6800 m) with Standard (XSG) Connectors

Select appropriate electronics/release, based on following:

 

  • Housing -- aluminum (6800 m) or 3Al2V titanium (7000 m).

 

  • Connector type -- Each housing is available with standard (Impulse XSG-type) or wet-pluggable (MCBH) connectors.

 

  • Latch assembly size / configuration --
    12-, 24-, or 36-position latch assembly is used with full size SBE 32 Carousel (36-position Carousel is custom; consult Sea-Bird).
    Compact or Sub-Compact latch assembly used with SBE 32C or 32SC.

               

  • Interface type --
  • Standard interface supports:
  • Real-time data acquisition & water sampler control ‑
    SBE 9plus CTD with 11plus Deck Unit (not applicable to 32SC).
  • Autonomous operation (no conducting wire required; bottles closed automatically based on pre-programmed pressures or times) ‑

  • Side Bar 2 is used at upper guard ring position with riser bar.
