SEATERM©, a WIN 95/98/NT/2000/XP application, is part of our SEASOFT-Win32 software suite. SEATERM is a terminal program for interfacing with a wide variety of Sea-Bird instruments, including:

• SBE 11/11plus CTD Deck Unit

• SBE 16 SEACAT C-T Recorder (older product)

• SBE 16plus and 16plus-IM (older products), and 16plus-IM V2 SEACAT C-T Recorder

• SBE 17/17plus SEARAM

• SBE 19 SEACAT Profiler (older product)

• SBE 19plus SEACAT Profiler (older product)

• SBE 21 SEACAT Thermosalinograph

• SBE 25 SEALOGGER CTD

• SBE 33 Carousel Deck Unit

Note: Use the SCPlusV2_RS232 terminal program to interface with the 16plus V2 (RS-232 version only) and 19plus V2.

SEATERM can send commands to an instrument to provide status display, data acquisition setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests. SEATERM includes the functions incorporated in SEASOFT-DOS' Term11, Term 1621, Term17, Term19, Term25, Term35, Term37, Term39.

The instrument configuration (.cfg) files created by the DOS-based terminal programs cannot be used by SEATERM. If implementing SEATERM for an existing system that was set up with a DOS-based terminal program, record the instrument configuration settings from the DOS-based terminal program, and reenter the settings in SEATERM’s Configure menu.

Data uploaded with SEATERM can typically be processed with the post-processing modules in SEASOFT-Win32 (SBE Data Processing) or in SEASOFT-DOS. Instruments introduced since 2001 are not supported in SEASOFT-DOS.

The SEASOFT-Win32 software suite also includes the following Windows programs:

• SeatermAF  -- terminal program that interfaces with instruments that include Auto Fire capability for autonomous operation of an SBE 32 Carousel Water Sampler (with an SBE 17plus V2 or AFM) or SBE 55 ECO Water Sampler, providing setup, data retrieval, and diagnostic tests.

• Seaterm54 -- terminal program that interfaces with SBE 54 or PN 90588 Tsunameter.

• SCPlusV2_RS232 -- terminal program that interfaces with SBE 16plus V2 (RS-232 only) or 19plus V2.

• SEASAVE V7  -- data acquisition program that acquires, converts, and displays real-time or archived raw data.
  Note: As of March 2007, SEASAVE V7 replaces SEASAVE-Win32.

• SBE Data Processing -- data processing program that converts, edits, processes, and plots data.

• Plot39 -- plotting program for data uploaded from the SBE 39 or 39-IM.
