Halifax Satlantic Facility Closure

Dear Sea-Bird Community:

Effective May 25th, we will close our Halifax “Satlantic” facility. In early 2017 we moved all production and service operations from Halifax, to our Bellevue and Philomath locations. We have made the very tough decision to complete this consolidation process, and will transfer or otherwise discontinue remaining activities at the facility. For our customers, we do not expect disruption of any ongoing product related efforts for which you might be engaged with Sea-Bird. We transferred virtually all products, related business operations, and associated calibration efforts over this past year.

For those of you engaged in collaborative innovation efforts involving our Halifax team, we will reach out to you in the coming weeks to assure that we maintain continuity in our engagement, or otherwise set viable contingency plans in place.

As I mentioned this was a very tough but necessary decision for the Sea-Bird business. We appreciate your support and understanding as we manage through this transition.
