About the Speakers


Dr. Kim Martini profile photograph Sea-Bird Scientific
Dr. Kim Martini received her Ph.D. in Oceanography at the University of Washington, and went on to do post-doctoral work at the University of Alaska. Kim came to Sea-Bird from PMEL, where she was the lead scientist / engineer for the Ecosystems & Fisheries-Oceanography Coordinated Investigations (EcoFOCI) group towed instrument platform effort. At PMEL, Kim worked with Sea-Bird Scientific instruments towed behind various ships, giving her a head start on her work at Sea-Bird, where she is involved in characterization and optimization aspects of product development, support of Navis customers, and training activities.
