Earlier this month, experts from the Sea-Bird Scientific team had the pleasure of heading to Scripps Institute of Oceanography to present at an in-person Technical Forum to Scripps faculty and students.

With a special focus on optical oceanography, Cris Orrico, Program Manager, presented on the Sea-Bird Scientific optical portfolio, while also demonstrating applications of the new LED-ACS Spectral Absorption and Attenuation Sensor that was launched earlier this year.

Earth Day 2023: Planting Trees & Protecting the Sea

While our core mission is to protect and improve our understanding and conservation of our oceans, we would be remiss to neglect our terrestrial ecosystems as well.

This year, Sea-Bird Scientific is proud to be donating money on behalf of all of our associates to One Tree Planted, an organization dedicated to reforesting our planet. For each dollar donated, a tree is planted.
