Technical Forum in Partnership with Scripps
Sea-Bird Scientific is eternally grateful for having had the opportunity to present at a Technical Forum to the Scripps Institute of Oceanography community on April 6, 2023. In this session, our optical experts, Cris Orrico, Program Manager, and Dave Stahlke, Technical Support, helped the Scripps community better understand the science of optical oceanography. We looked specifically at our new LED AC-S, and how it can be used to understand the diversity of ocean life through harmful algal bloom analysis, carbon cycling, and ocean color studies.

Over 20 students and faculty members attended the forum, all of whom were extremely engaged and asked very though-provoking and thorough questions. We cannot express our appreciation to all of those that attended. Thank you!

Sea-Bird Scientific Office Hours at Scripps
The day following the Technical Forum, we hosted open office hours. Scripps students and faculty alike were able to come and ask questions to learn about Sea-Bird Scientific, our products, what it's like to work for one of the leaders in oceanographic instrumentation, and more.

This engagement opportunity provided a direct avenue for Scripps researchers to chat with our experts on how they can best implement their oceanographic applications.

Through these in-person engagements, our team can better understand how we can best partner with our customers, and enables us to gather direct feedback to make working with Sea-Bird Scientific as valuable and impactful as possible. At the end of the day, we are working with our customers to power science-based decisions for a better ocean.
